My name is Beatriz (most people call me Bea). I’m a 37 years old Colombian-Canadian living in the Greater Chicago Area with my adorable husband and two crazy cats named Shayla and Maia. No kids yet; working on it… hoping for it.

I went to college and majored in Biology, but I still don’t know what I want to do when (if) I grow up. For now I work for the health and sciences division at a local college and I like it. When I’m not working, I’m usually reading my brains off or playing World of Warcraft.

I’ve been blogging since 2001 and apparently I haven’t ran out of things to say yet. I write mostly about day to day stuff with the occasional political rant. I also write a lot about my health so I decided to create a separate blog called Cranky Pancreas where I talk about living with type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism, depression and PCOS.

This is my personal blog. Everything I write here is solely my opinion and it doesn’t represent that of my employer or the people I associate with.
