About

Published by Bea

Hello there! My name is Beatriz (aka Bea). I was born in Colombia (South America), in a sunny morning of 1974… Wait, that’s too cheesy! ;-) Anyway, I lived there until I was 25, and then moved to French Canada (also known as Quebec, but Canada for me… Je ne suis pas séparatiste!) where I made my life for about 7 years, with some hiccups in the middle (married, separated, divorced… the whole enchilada!). Oh, and I’m a proud Canadian citizen since 2004.

I left Canada in 2007, got married again, and now I share my life with a wonderful COLOMBIAN man I met a while ago in the blogosphere. We live somewhere over the rainbow with Dorothy, Toto and the ruby slippers (that would be Kansas, in case you’re wondering… Do me a favor and get familiar with The Wizard of Oz, OK?). We have a crazy kitty named Shayla (but I call her doll and princess all the time) and a bunch of silly fish who eat a lot. No kids yet, not sure if we’ll have them, and I’m not worried about it.

I have a B.Sc. in Biology and I work for a medical company, helping diabetics like me.

You can find more about me and my life online:

Other things that I like to do:

Reading, Knitting, Cooking, Working Out, Diabetes Support, Divorce Support, Animal Crossing Wild World, Weblogging, Colouring, Hiking, Journaling, Photography, Scrapbooking, Self Improvement, Web Design, Vision Boards.

Things that I’m interested in:

Astrology, Biology, Buddhism, Diabetes, Divorce Support, Ecology, Feng Shui, Fine Arts, Foreign Languages, Gastronomy, General Culture, Geography, History, Hockey, Homemaking, Hypothyroidism, Manga, Movies, Music, Mythology, Philosophy, Politics, Tai Chi, Tennis, Travel, Video Games, Weight Loss.

I’m a diabetic and I keep an awareness weblog called The Red Dot Project.

I consider myself an easy-going and sensible person who likes to make friends (and keep good friendships) and help as many people as possible. Life has shown me that all the love you give to others will come back to you, double. I also have a quirky side, mostly bratty (ask my husband!), but I won’t make bad publicity of myself.
