Blogger was literally dead a few minutes ago; I kept getting a 500 Error message, but now it’s fine (I kinda don’t understand those error messages yet). I’ve been sleeping since I got home, then woke up and decided to come here and take big decisions… like moving all my personal pages from Geocities, which will take a while because I want to “remodel” some of them. I was thinking of redoing everything, but I just got an e-mail from someone with comments about Beato’s World (my site) and it reads like this: “I’ve never seen something like this before *S*” and assume it as compliment, so… I won’t change it much, people like it and I like it too. Plus it has been online for almost 3 years… it has to be good! LOL
All this means that my blogging frenzy will stop for somedays at least until I get the “good pages” up and running. That’s it… going to check up things now.

Somehow my BlogVoices code is not working (not that there are a lot of comments on my posting… LOL) and I’m trying to figure out what is wrong. Will check the code anyways. I wonder if it’s because of the Blogger update…
It’s Saturday morning and I’m stuck at the office waiting for flowers to arrive and fix all the orders because we are not getting all the shipments. Later we’ll go for groceries to IGA and things for the house at Wal-Mart, so I guess this will be a very busy day
Good, tho!

I had written a long post earlier and when I pressed the Post link it just dissapeared; guess it’s because the maintenance of Blogger. Anyways, it was about a news I read in El Tiempo (a colombian newspaper): From now on all the passengers in transit through the U.S. will need an American Visa. This is really bad because in order to get an appointment in the American Embassy in Bogot a person has to wait at least one year.
Let’s say someone just wants to come to Canada or go to another country, like in Europe… it really sucks! Now, in order to go visit my family I need to get the approval of the americans so I can wait for a plane there to take me to my country??? Plus, they treat us colombians like a piece of junk and forget that “NOT ALL COLOMBIANS ARE BAD”. This makes me not only angry but sad too…

Attention! some pages on this site don’t work yet
Things seem to be running smoothly now with my site. I even gave it a new face because I thought the other layout was pale and boring… I just love this one. I’m enjoying my new domain thingy, but this flu doesn’t let me enjoy it at 100%… hope it will go away soon.
This morning I went to the office and was so sick that hubby had to drive me back home, but after a few hours of good sleep and a cup of herbal tea I feel kind of better; and of course… I talked to mommy this morning so that makes everything easier; she’s such a sweetie!
Gotta get that Resume for the guys at PortHost ready so TTFN!

Well, it’s me again… still with no FTP access, but I will follow Jish’s advice: “Patience!!! it takes a little time” (he’s really a big optmist and cool person). BTW, good luck! (he knows what I’m talking about).
Ok, time to bed… because I also got an order from my advicer: “Rest!” (after I said I was down with the flu) he he!

I decided to get a little bitchy (not that I like that too much, but when you’re paying…) and sent an e-mail asking why my FTP was not setup yet. Got a reply… by phone: “Ok, everything’s working now”; then, I connected… voila! then I tried to upload files and what did I get? An annoying 550 Error because I have no permission to manage files set up yet… grrrr!!! Now it is 6:12 p.m. and I hope they will reply my last message so I can get some files up tonight.
Do I sound like a psycho? My friend told me: “No, you just sound like a pissed off with all reason customer” and then she made sense: “What’s the point in having FTP access if you can’t do shit with your files?”. I wonder the same thing…
Note: All this does not mean that the host is bad… I’m a new customer who never owned a domain before and I really don’t know how these things work; but sure it helps to vent!

First I was disappointed… then I was really upset… but now I’m so pissed off!! I don’t like it when someone promises to do something in a determined time (10 minutes in my case) and then keeps you waiting for more than 24 hours. When I decided to buy a domain I did it because it was a paid service and I thought that service was going to be good and fast; and the problem is that I’m shy to call to ask again: “When are my FTP settings going to be ready so I can upload my site?”. I’m sure my webhost is good, but I just would like them to get my site ready and running!
