Bloggers

Published by Bea under Life, Weblog

I’m one of those people who have a long list of reads and I actually take the time sometimes to go and visit ALL of them. Some of the links are reciprocal (they have me listed too) and sometimes I find them by accident and totally love them.

Lately I have been checking on Kelly’s I Blog U and I see that she’s finally back, but not posting yet. I’m certainly looking forward to hearing about her vacation :) Now, other bloggers have removed me from their reads… buahahaha! Wonder why; it’s ok, life goes on :)

Sometimes I feel kind of alone in this bloggers world, for I see that there are many people connected by any reason; there are those who know each other because they are web designers, or because they are professional webmasters, or because they are friends in real life. Me, I’m like in my own little bubble; except for S, I’m not close to any other blogger… not close meaning that I don’t keep in contact with anybody in a friendly basis. It gets kind of lonely here sometimes… I think…

Doing the Happy Dance

Published by Bea under Life

When I start my computer in the morning, the first thing I do is open my website, read the comments in my blog (if there are any) and then I go to my Reads to see what other bloggers have to share. The first place I visit (always) is S’s; she’s my friend, of course… it’s like a priority :)

Today I found a wonderful post where she says that her mammogram came out fine and that she’s cancer free! She says she’s doing the happy dance… well, I join her! Because when I read that a few tears came out of my eyes. She wasn’t feeling well before, she was afraid of something bad… and I have to confess… I was too. But now a new light shines for S and I’m happy for her, doing the happy dance too :) Hugs to you, my friend!

Gingerblue.com

Published by Bea under Webbies

I’m totally mesmerized by this site called Gingerblue.com. The design is so soothing… the colors are wonderful and the art she uses is amazing. But what is more important: the content! Chel really has something to share with everyone. A very interesting person, I would say :) Well done, Chel!

Packing Day, Hope Day

Published by Bea under Life

I’m starting with my packing today. Have a pile of clothes to wash so I can bring them to Colombia; most of them are summer clothes for Cali is a hot place. They call it California in Colombia… imagine :) I can’t believe I’m leaving on Friday, I can’t believe I will see my mom, my sweet mom!, my brothers, my grandma!! My friends, my wonderful best friend Midori who’s coming back from Japan when I’m there… It’s all good things!

Patrice says that half of my bags are full of gifts, which is not true… LOL! All I want to bring is love. I can’t wait to spend hours and hours with my mom talking about the last year. She’s such a strong person… after losing my daddy I’ve never heard her complaining. Not even becasue during a year she didn’t get a cent from the government, until now when they finally started paying my dad’s retirement. One year where she didn’t go to the supermarket because she could not, so she had to go to the convenience store around the corner to get things for the day. One year where the kind lady who owns the house where she lives in has waited for the rent payments. One year where the kindness of people, especially my brothers and my sister in law, has been all over my wonderful sweet mom. One year where hope is all she had… along with the memory of the greatest love of all: the one she shared with my dad for 36 years.

So, today is a day of hope. Because for us is like a new begining, a new sunny day; the promise of a better life. I’m sure dad is still taking care of us, for over the last year we’ve only received blessings. My faith is a big one and I know that the Lord has many more good things to come.

Mastering Greymatter

Published by Bea under Geeky, Weblog

I finally got rid of Blogger and managed to install Greymatter in my server space, organized the templates in a decent way and now I can relax, get started with packing for my trip and spoil my husband who’s been like a kid during the last few days. For anyone interested, the Blogger Archives are still available.

I’m really sorry if I have everyone going crazy with hiatus, no hiatus, moving files and so on… if you read my last entry with Blogger you will understand. Thanks for your patience! :)
