My Weekend in Facts

Published by Bea under Life

1. It’s so darn hot that we ran away from home and spent time at my mother in law’s who has a heat pump and it’s just heaven.

2. Watched “Les Boys”, “Les Boys II” and “Les Boys III” and they are so darn funny that I’ll be watching them again soon. I just love Marc Messier…

3. My savings account marked 666.06 after I deposited my last check and I jumped in the first Subway I found to buy Patrice a Sandwich and get rid of the freaking number.

4. I have a small UTI, that is going away now, but it’s been the worse I’ve had! Another not very nice side of Diabetes (but again, does it have a nice one?)

5. Brazil won the World Cup (as I had predicted and many people too) against a very good Germany team. I got crazy and celebrated too with some Brazilian fans that were honking on the streets. Patrice thinks I’m nuts and I think Ronaldo has to do something about that bad hair cut.

6. Tomorrow’s Canada Day and we have plans to go to the Montreal Jazz Festival, but I think I’m going to migrate to my mother in law’s house again because the heat is something!

7. I’ll be changing this machine sooner than I thought because I can’t stand the yellow screen anymore and that’s why I’m going to say bye bye for now before I get hepatitis.

Bea, The Brat

Published by Bea under Life

Things happened somehow like I said: I ended up being a brat and staying at home, but the hubby didn’t get upset, there wasn’t a fire at home and I was upset for nothing… duh! Patrice is the sweetest thing and I just can’t understand how at this point I still don’t get that he’ll do anything to make me happy, not the opposite. But that’s me, always worrying in advance and thinking the worse can happen.

Bea, The Firefighter

Published by Bea under Life

I have to start this entry by saying that I love my husband very very much and that if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have a job now, and maybe I’m going to sound like an ungrateful brat, but I’m upset…

Pro-Life & Proud

Published by Bea under Thoughts, Webbies

I’m pro-life, I say it proud and loud and I don’t think I’m dumb, out of fashion or a moralist. A life is a life (a life begins at the conception, biological fact), and we have to respect it. But rather than start a big disertation about the issue, I will leave you with a few links with information. After visiting and reading (every time I do it) I just can’t understand how abortion is still being practiced and women are not aware of what they are doing. Some of the sites are quite radical, so if you’re “Pro-Choice”, you might find them offensive, but the truth is always harsh. If your heart doesn’t move looking at the aborted babies pictures, I don’t know what else will move it.

Pellegrinated

Published by Bea under Life, Weblog

This entry goes in the name of my good friend, Miss K, and her addiction. Nothing better than some refreshing Acqua Internazionale - S. Pellegrino for an extremely hot and humid afternoon. It’s been raining, but it gets even worse with all the water in the atmosphere :-P Thank God for the refrigerator to keep cool beverages!

Gardening Woes

Published by Bea under Life

Third post in less than an hour… so many things in my head! Ok, I have these beautiful African Violets (3 of them) my hubby bought for me a couple of months ago, but they have stopped flowering and I’m so sad! I’m taking good care of them (I think) and the leaves look healthy, but no flowers… boo hoo! I found this fact sheet telling how to take proper care of them, but tips or other kind of information would be very welcome. I know many of you out there are good gardeners :-) Thank you!!

But I’m proud to say that my balcony garden is getting more beautiful everyday and I have new blooms and everything! People in the neighborhoold must think I’m crazy because I go out in the balcony way too much just to check on them. But hey! This is my first garden! ;-)

Burning Issues

Published by Bea under Thoughts

I’m doing a major blog surfing this morning, while chatting with Miss Patty (who hates cantaloupe, BTW). I deleted my cookies last night and now I’m find myself typing all my info again, but I don’t care… I will be Bea for now.

Anyway, I found one of those posts everyone will have something to say (or think) about at Gabriel’s and rather than saying something here, just go and read the long comment I left (sorry for the abuse, Gabriel!). He says he doesn’t want to touch those issues that make people to go overboard, but I think it is better to do it and stand up for yourself. I like people with character, I like people who are not afraid to say what they think and if they do it decently, like Gabriel did, it’s even better.

When it comes to religion I wish everyone had an open mind… it’s all about tolerance. I grew up Catholic and I respect what I was taught, but I just don’t think the rest of the people of the world are wrong. They just have chosen different paths to go to the same place I’m going. That is what we all have to fully understand and maybe all the stupid wars based on religion will end.
