Blogroll problems

Is anyone having trouble trying to login to Blogrolling? I can’t seem to enter my edition options; I e-mailed Jason and he told me to do something with my browser security options but it didn’t fix the problem. Every time I try to enter I get the same screen asking me to login. Cookies are enabled, all the other sites with saved cookies are working fine and I’m puzzled. Help anyone?

Update: The problem seems to be only with the desktop because I could login in the laptop. Now I’m really confused! It was working just fine a couple of days ago… Totally annoying!! Could it be something IP related? The world of the internet is so vast… *sighs* I’ll stop worrying about it.

Boxing? No thanks!

We have spent a rather quiet day here with Patrice. I watched “Back to the Future III” and now we are getting ready to prepare my mom’s traditional “Cazuela de Pollo” (I might post the recipe later) to celebrate Boxing Day. But no boxing for me, please! I still can’t understand how someone can go out shopping on a day like this… madness!! Just to think about gives me the willies.

I remember last year I went out of curiosity because we were going to change a video cassette for a DVD and a pair of slippers I had bought for Patrice. Well, we had no problem at Music World, even if it was a little crowded, but when we hit Wal-Mart I was about to scream… I think I actually did scream when I told Patrice: “Let’s get out of here NOW!”. Holy Mary Mother of God! The line at the cash register went out of the store, there were children crying, people fighting over the stock. Not a nice sight, especially for a Colombian who never saw that in her own country, and believe me… the holidays get really crazy down there.

Jesus is Born

merry christmas

After one busy day organizing and cleaning, we had a nice and quiet time on Christmas Eve with Patrice and his mom. Patrice brought me some really beautiful flowers from the office and I have to say that my little apartment looked (and smelled) lovely last nigh, especially with the vanilla scented candles I’m so crazy about; we watched a movie (An Affair to Remember), ate some goodies and exchanged gifts*. I wanted to go to midnight mass, but I saw they were too comfortable here and didn’t want to bother anyone asking to take me to the church (I wish people here were more into the religious mood sometimes… sigh).

Christmas Break

click me!

With all the things to do before tomorrow I think I’ll take a little Christmas break. There won’t be big celebrations here, but my house is in need of a major clean up and we are cooking some stuff for the Reveillon; my mother in law is coming to spend Christmas Eve with us and I haven’t done any grocery shopping, not to mention that I haven’t bought Patrice’s gift either: “Las Ketchup” song (Aserejé, ja deje tejebe tude jebere sebiunouba majabi an de bugui an de buididipí)… go figure! But that’s what he wants… We’re trying to keep it decent this year with the gifts, although we already got the dining table and we’re really happy with it. But the best gift of all is the happiness we share and the good things we find every day in life, the love of the people we care about, our health and the chance to have a job.

I hope everyone will have a wonderful time, with your family and friends. Don’t forget the people in need, say a prayer for them, help them if you can, and keep the holiday spirit all year long, following what Jesus himself taught us: to love others just as we love ourselves. God bless you. I’ll see you in a couple of days!
