F5: Heroes and Dreams

1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why? I remember we watched “Los Super Amigos” with my friends, the one where all the heroes were together (I don’t know the name in English, sorry). I guess I always wanted to be some kind of nature-related person because my favorite guy was Aquaman  And I liked Batman too!

Family Reunion

A few days ago I said that I had some kind of (big) news and I didn’t want to say anything before I was sure for not to jinx it. Well, things are done and planned now: I’m going to Colombia! Yes, again… but this time with Patrice who asked for his vacation and considering my trip in November was in a very sad moment and I came back in a rush, we decided to go and be with my family and spend quality time in my loved country.

I’m so excited! Talked to my sister in law and we’re going to go all together to meet my uncles and aunts in Bogota. A big family reunion I will enjoy like a child because it’s been a while since I saw my cousins and their children for the last time. We don’t know what this year will bring with the drums of war playing so hard, and we want to enjoy the company of our loved ones.

Yesterday when I said to Patrice “I hope the war won’t mess up our trip” a colleague told me not to worry and enjoy the present moment, keep living and hoping and be happy for being able to do this trip. I think he’s right and now I can’t wait to take the plane and go to my Colombia. My mom doesn’t know yet, but this is going to make her so happy I feel like crying… ha ha!

More Evil than Dracula

Random rant: George Warmonger Bush is more evil than Dracula for God’s sake! He’s like a thirsty vampire looking for blood , he sounds pitiful trying to get support from other nations to wage his war against Iraq. It makes me sick, he’s like a begging sheep, a spoiled brat throwing a bad tantrum “I wanna go to war! I wanna go to war! Gimme! Gimme!”. First, this is not going to be a war, but rather some kind of genocide because it doesn’t take too many brain cells to understand that they are going to smash that poor country like a roach. Big bullies, that’s what they are… Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair.

BTW, did you know that 84% of the British people are against such attack? I wonder: we, the people, the citizens, the voters, the ones who trust the leaders to put them in power and take the reins of our countries… Why don’t our voices count once they are up in the presidential/ministerial chair? The more I know human beings, the more I love “irrational” animals; that’s if you can call these two warmongers human beings. A little information bullet: Al-Qaeda Terrorists are building dirty bombs… how nice! I remember reading how they are waiting for Iraq to be attacked so they can commit their monstrosities again. But heck! The war against Iraq will make the world a safer place, right?

To close this entry, I invite you to read the Bogus Reasons for War on Iraq.

You Deserve a BeaLog Today

Yesterday I found this fun Slogan Generator at Heather’s a decided to play with it to find me some nice taglines. Then I added a little script for random page titles; reload the page to see what BeaLog has to offer. My favorite? “BeaLog: The Other White Meat”, LOL! View source if you want to grabe the code.

Also, if you are interested in an Online Users script, make sure you check the one at EOT Networks, a good alternative to the Fast Online Users script that goes down so very often and is now generating evil pop-ups. [Link via Kymberlie]

Let’s not be cowards!

God, I love Pierre Foglia. He speaks as if he read my mind and I’m going to take the liberty to translate his last article in La Presse. Then, I’m going to be brave and send him an e-mail to tell him how much I admire him for speaking the voice of many!

LET’S NOT BE COWARDS – by Pierre Foglia © La Presse

I read a call to the weapons in the National Post this weekend… Let’s see… I think I’m starting it all wrong, it was in French, thus it could not be in the Post, it was in Le Devoir, excuse me. I start again. I read in Le Devoir of Saturday the chronicle of a lady who said that it was necessary to make the war with Saddam. And why should it be done? Because, explained the lady, it would be coward not to do it. Quite simply. Translated in the language of the barracks: Let’s show Saddam that we have the balls.
