Love in, yeah baby!

I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes.
The love that’s all around me, and so the feeling grows.
It’s written on the wind, it’s everywhere I go.
So if you really love me, come on and let it show…

Enough of the mean grumpies. Enough of the people hatin’. Enough of the Blogshare hatahs, and the hatin’ on the Blogshare-hatahs. I’m declaring today a blogger love-in.” — Great idea at Snazzykat’s woohoo! I feel the good vibes today, and I just got online. Go and give some love to the people whose blogs you read; tell them nice things, make their day happy!

Me loves everybody! And I feel happy today… lots of good things happening around me. My Colombian friend and his wife arrived last night to become Canadian residents here in Montreal, my friend Jacques got me an application for a group of Biologists who go birdwatching often (yay!), I’m in good spirits today and I have to be grateful for that since my mood swings are getting really bad these days. Maybe it’s because the sun is finally shinning after a long cloudy week. And the hubby has promised me a romantic dinner tonight and I can’t wait.

Yes, I feel loved and happy. Thank you Erika for giving me a reason to smile. And thank you everyone for the nice comments left on this posts and the beautiful e-mails too; I’m so moved! It’s good to be told we’re loved, especially when our self-esteem needs a boost. God bless you all! Days like this make blogging worth it.

Trolls and fun

Here I am, at 1 a.m. in the morning, chatting with Martie and discussing trolls. Yes, those darn trolls. But hey, Peter found a Troll site I can laugh with, there are all kinds of little ugly faces, ha ha ha! My favorite? Fifi, La Femme — The French Troll! — Allons enfants de la Patrie, le jour de gloire est arrivĂ© !

This entry brought to you by the blog trolls that inspire us so much! They gave me a good reason to get de-listed from BlogShares, something I had been wondering how to do for quite a while since I just don’t understand how the darn thing works and got bored. Yeah, nasty Beatriz just seized the chance. I’m sorry for the parts that got hurt, though. Peace! Oh… the Blogosphere and its soap-operas.

Snail mail, anyone?

On January 17th I posted an entry asking if some people would be interested in exchanging some snail mail with me I signed up for Nervousness.org a few months ago, but the crowd of people intimidates me and I prefer to keep things in a more personal level.

A fellow blogger has started a swap I was lucky enough to get into since the number of members is limited, he he! I had bookmarked my entry about the exchange in order to bring it up again and yesterday when I signed up for this swap I remembered it.

So here I am asking anyone who wants to be part of my little project to let me know, by sending me a little note or leaving a comment. I still have the e-mails some of you sent telling me you would like to be part of the project and I will reply tonight to ask if you’re still in. Also, the people who left comments in my first entry, let me know if you’re still interested. Thanks!

Sock it!

It’s socks time! If you like to share and receive, then sign up for Jaya’s second round of Sock it to me: The Original Sock Exchange!. “Accept no substitutes“, she says. Did you know she won an Anti-Bloggie for it? Yes, she did. You’ll have fun! I got two very nice pairs of socks in the first one, you won’t be disappointed. Go and sign up!

More on SARS

Now that the war is “over” (?) people are turning to this SARS issue and I don’t blame them. I was going to post about that warning The WHO (World Health Organization, not The Who like I thought when I read a blog entry of a person as confused as me! Sorry… I feel really stupid) issued about it. It seems the federal, provincial and municipal governments are really upset, and with all reason since all this is really affecting the economy in Toronto.

But it’s so difficult not to worry! The experts say it could have a similar impact to the 1918 flu epidemic that killed 50 million – or the current world HIV crisis (some others say it’s exaggerated). That’s pretty scary, let me tell you. And the problem is not Toronto, a city of millions of habitants with only 300 cases and going down. The problem is that once the virus goes to countries with poor health systems it could kill millions worldwide.
