Shrek 2 Day!

Louis B. Hobson, from the Calgary Sun, says: “Shrek 2 comes by its title honestly. Not only is it a sequel, but it offers twice the fun, twice the pop references and easily double the amount of astonishing technical wizardry of its predecessor. Shrek 2 is one of those rare sequels that doesn’t just capture the spirit and magic of the original, but enhances it.” — I’m so going to see this movie TODAY. The best part of it, is that I’m sure the theatre will be full of laughing kids and that makes the showing even better. Nothing, absolutely nothing, can top children’s laughter…

8 Days After

Oh well… an 8-day break is good enough. I was thinking about posting again by the end of the week, but I’m finally feeling in a web-mood after some really “unmotivational” days. And it’s not like the weather out there is helping much… God! Did we receive a lot of water this morning! I had to go for blood tests at 10 a.m. and I had my morning all planned, but everything came to an end when I decided to stop over at my mother in law’s to use the bathroom and I got soaking wet just getting out of the car (with an umbrella, who would’ve thought, but it was raining from every freaking direction you can imagine!). Anyway, I stopped at Tim Hortons for a good cup of coffee and a whole-wheat bagel with cream cheese before coming back home to dry my jeans.

What have I been up to? Nothing much, really. I was feeling rather sick thanks to the monthly visit and worrying about my health in general because well… I am like that… When things are going good in my life I’m always expecting something bad to happen to keep the balance. I know it’s stupid, but I can’t help it. And the current world situation is not helping my mood much either, all those horrible things happening in Iraq, the tortures, the beheading of Nick Berg, this sick sick sick planet… Kind of helps me to put things in perspective, though, especially about the whole drama I’ve seen with the new version of Movable Type, but that’s a story that needs to be told later.

I guess I just wanted to say that I’m back. Hello everyone! And yeah, Logtar… The cat woke up and ran away with the pink flower. God knows what those two are up to now, hah!

Another Week Starts

I don’t know what to write about today, but the habit to post on this weblog makes me want to say something. We had a great weekend, yesterday was absolutely beautiful (I even got a little suntan… Ok… sunburn, I don’t tan) and we went to my mother in law’s for a delicious BBQ. She wasn’t feeling very good, so Patrice and left early to let her rest a little and we spent the rest of the afternoon getting ready for the new week (you know, washing clothes, organizing the mess…). Today is totally different, cloudy and rainy, but Patrice took the day off and I’m really happy he finally decided to take a break after 3 weeks of non-stop work. Having him home during the day is a surreal experience, he always finds a way to make me laugh.

Funny episode in Bea’s life: Last night I was looking for my endocrinologist’s order for blood work because I was convinced I had to go this morning. We couldn’t find the darn paper and I was really upset. I forgot about the blood test happening today and this morning I woke up and decided to go to the doctor’s office to get a new order, but he wasn’t there, neither his secretary. I came home even more upset and asked Patrice to help me look for the order again. Well, it happened to be under the stove… Yes! With the winds, the papers on my fridge fly away and that’s why it ended up there. I proceeded to call the medical centre to make another appointment and when I went to change the date on my Palm Pilot I saw that I actually had to go on Wednesday, not today… hah! I guess it was a good thing that I couldn’t find the paper last night, otherwise I would’ve looked like a total idiot at the med. centre.

How was your weekend? :-)

My Brain is Blue

Apparently, my brain is blue.

At work or in school: I like to be with people, sharing with them, inspiring them, and helping them. I work and learn best when I can take into consideration people and the human element. I flourish in an atmosphere of cooperation.

With friends: I always look for perfect love. I am very romantic, and I enjoy doing thoughtful things for others. I am affectionate, supportive and a good listener.

With family: I like to be happy and loving. I am very sensitive to rejection from my family and to family conflicts. I really like to be well thought of and need frequent reassurance. I love intimate talks and warm feelings.
