The girls are back!

“Picking up on the same night as last season’s finale, Lorelai is very upset that Rory has lost her virginity to her married ex-boyfriend Dean. Luke is happy and relieved to learn that Lorelai wants to pursue their new romantic relationship. Meanwhile, after announcing that she and Richard are officially separated, Emily decides to leave immediately for Paris. Realizing that Dean’s marriage may not be over after all, Rory agrees to spend the summer in Europe with Emily.”

It’s been a long summer away from Stars Hollow. :-) Season premiere, yay!

Bye-bye Summer

You know Summer has said bye-bye when you’re sitting in front of your computer wearing a sweater, long pants, socks and slippers — Oh yes, I came back from class this afternoon, opened the windows and 10 minutes later I went “Yikes, too cold!” and proceeded to close everything and put on warmer clothes because my little feet were freezing. I guess it’s time to put the shorts and T-Shirts to hibernate… Oh well, I like Fall :-)

Quality Time

Another week of school is over. I’m less tired than last week, but still adapting to the big changes. Today I walked from one pavillion to another that wasn’t so close without even realizing that I was on freaking Mount Royal and that the steeps are something special; oh well… I survived. Got a locker, visited the library for the 100th time (what a nerd!), got a book on Climatology and came home to enjoy the weekend. I’m kind of excited about finally being able to spend some quality time with my husband whose face I’m starting to forget. Seriously, we’ve hardly seen each other because we’re either too tired or too busy, so it’s time to catch up. The man sleeps and I’m following now.

Plans for the weekend: Doing a lot of reading tomorrow, with a little cleaning on the side. Probably visiting Elisa to meet the new member of the family. Then it’s apple-picking day on Sunday; we’re going with my neighbours and I’m worse than a kid… I’ve never gone apple-picking! This could be fun, pic-nic included. I hope you all will have a very good one. God bless.

It’s a Boy!

Elisa‘s website is down, but I wanted to tell the people who follow her weblog that she gave birth to a perfect baby boy last night. Both the mommy and the new member of the family are doing well and she will be able to return home this evening and then I’ll go and meet my new “nephew” this weekend. Congratulations, my dear friend! God bless you all.

Bio Wish List

It isn’t a mystery that textbooks “recommended” by university teachers cost an eye and a half. And when they “recommend” these books, it’s usually because most of the courses are based on them and you will be “mal pris” if you don’t put your hands on one that will help you go through the agony of mid-terms and finals, no matter how much you’ve exercised your hand taking good notes in class. Unfortunately, when a class has 250 students and there are only 4-5 books available at the school library, you better do something about it or you’re pretty much f*ed up. Then comes the life or death question of “To Buy or Not To Buy” and there I’m always for the first option, though not so easy.
