A Very Productive Bea

There’s nothing better than a productive weekend to help you cope with the frustration of feminine situations (c’est-a-dire le darn PMS). While Patrice stays at home being the housewife, ooops… the house-husband, doing laundry, cooking and taking care of domestic life in general, I decide to emigrate to my mother in law’s house where the peace and quiet are the perfect environment for studying. The MIL is in Paris (chanceuse !), so I’m doing good use of her office logistics to make a few documents summarizing everything I’ve learned (I can show you, if you want, they’re in French and in Word).

I’m now taking a well deserved break composed by this weblog post, some e-mail replies, a quick shower and a not very nutritious lunch (since there’s nothing in her kitchen, but coffee, milk and bread – Ah! Cheese, too). I hope your weekend went well. Mine was satisfactory.

Lock me in!

PMS-ing women should be locked in a room, away from others, until the storm has passed. Yes, sir! I don’t like people today. Tell me just a little something you can annoy me with and you’ll experience the wrath of Bea. #@!*%! See you much later.

Notice: I’m not justifying my actions, I’m just warning you. Buahaha!

Update (16/10/04): Starting to feel better, but buried in homework and mid-terms.
Oh, the joy! Wanna come and help?

Not That Nice Anymore

I feel like the more I’m closer to be 30, the less patience I have with people. Am I getting old or am I simply growing up? I always try to be a nice person and I let other people abuse me in the process, but not anymore… I’m telling it like it is and I feel good! Like yesterday with Mr. Jerko in the bus. A few days ago with my mother in law when she tried to criticize me because I gave one of my Subway cards (for a free sandwich) to a friend; it’s my freaking money, I said, not hers! Then today at the library when the lady at the desk was talking like a damn parrot and I told her to shut the fuck up, that there were several people trying to study.

Fleeing from Home

OK, enough. I have to get out of this house or I won’t be able to study for my mid-terms. I’m going to bury myself in the most hidden cubicle at the public library where the telephone won’t ring, where there is no computer with internet connection and where there is no freaking noise from the street or housework to worry about. Do you get that I’m starting to feel stressed? So, I’m fleeing from home as soon as I’m done with this entry.

Mozilla? Spyware?

Someone just told me something preposterous: “I installed Mozilla and I got rid of it because it had spyware. I don’t trust it.” — No no no, that’s absolutely FALSE. There’s no spyware in Mozilla and this person is in the wrong. I guess I’m now a perfect Firefox user, getting all worked up when someone dares to say that Mozilla is not good. I’m sure he installed something else and it was an unfortunate coincidence. All I can say is that my computer is spyware-free since I decided to ditch Internet Explorer.
