Read on Divorce message board: “I am used to being alone now, I can take care of myself, but it still feels very empty inside.”
My thoughts, exactly.

Did anyone actually think Uribe wasn’t going to get in the House of Nariño? With 7′363.297 (62.2%) votes, Alvaro Uribe Vélez was re-elected president of Colombia, in an electoral journey that will have a privileged place in history.

I have signed up as a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life that will be held next weekend here in Chicoutimi (as all over Canada during summer). I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time and now I have the chance. This is especially for Sandee (a super warrior), for my former boss in Colombia (who helped me when I most needed it), for my good friend Sonny’s mother, for Josée (one of my workmates), but also for all those people whose lives have been touched by Cancer in some way or another. I can’t wait!

If I were to vote on Sunday (Montreal too far!), I’d join those who believe Alvaro Uribe Vélez can do much more for Colombia during the next 4 years. Re-election!
What can I say? I like the guy. ¡Adelante Presidente!

Bad habits are easy to break, just take a deep breathe and press “Delete” — Some things are not worth it.

3 A+, 1 A, 3 B+, 1 B and a freaking C+ (I hate you, C!) — My first school session at the UQAC. Two more to go and I’ll be a Biologist, w00t!

I’ve been receiving a bunch of messages from a friend in Colombia where our current president, Alvaro Uribe, is blasted and it makes my blood boil. I should just tell her I don’t appreciate them, I like the man, I think he’s done good things under his mandate and trying to solve all the problems of a country like mine is a gigantic task. That’s why he’s going for re-election and according to the polls, he’s gonna make it. I’ll be glad to see him in the Casa de Nariño for 4 more years.
There, I said it. That’s why politics are so complicated. We all have our opinion.

When someone refers to Colombia as the world’s # 1 pot exporter, that just touches a nerve. I don’t deny the reality of my country, but we’re so much more than that. If people actually took the time to learn something, they would realize they wish they lived there.
From Lonely Planet: “Vibrant cities with streaking metros and soaring skyscrapers. Elegant port towns cut by cobbled alleys and bougainvillea shrouded balconies. Spectacular national parks ranging from Garden-of-Eden-tropical to heavenly-high-alpine. Cruise boats, party buses, late night salsa dancing and shopping glory. Check the cover again, yes, this is Colombia.”
Later.
