The Everything Test

Found at Sophia’s.

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all. Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We’re turning that upside down – all the questions affect all the results, and we’ve got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

Friday’s Feast 144

And here’s my feast for today.

Appetizer
List 3 emotions you experienced this week.
Patience: Taking care of a 6 month-old baby.
Nostalgia: After Mother’s Day. I miss my mom.
Love: Like every day. Thank you, baby!

Soup
Name a car you’d love to have.
I’m not difficult. I want a Toyota Highlander. The Prius would be lovely because it’s a hybrid. Oh well, any Toyota would do, except for trucks.

Salad
Describe your typical morning routine.

Wakey, wakey! Bathroom, kiss, check e-mail, make coffee, have breakfast. Still waking up right now, so my answers aren’t elaborate.

Main Course
Have you ever emailed someone famous? If so, who, and what did you say to them? Did they reply? Nope. But does e-mailing the newspaper and getting your e-mail published count? I’ve done that a few times.

Dessert
Do you listen to podcasts? If so, which ones?
Nope. I’ve never listened to a podcast. Not interested, I suppose.

Godspeed, Melinda!

I wasn’t disappointed to see Melinda Doolittle leave American Idol yesterday. Why? Because I didn’t think it was unfair; she left with grace after entertaining us with her talent. Besides, winning AI means the contestants get a recording contract, which I think Melinda nailed a long time ago. She’s got an amazing voice, she’s way past the point where she had to prove it to anyone.

Oh, and I was so happy to see Maroon 5 performing. Adam looked as cute as always, and they have a new CD coming out soon. It was a long, long wait! :)

New Found Beauty

newhumming.jpg

The Gorgeted Puffleg, a rare hummingbird that boasts a plumage of violet blue and iridescent green on its throat, has been discovered living in the cloud forests of southwestern Colombia, researchers announced.

The species — known by its scientific name Eriocnemis isabellae — was confirmed by two of the world’s leading specialists on the puffleg, Karl L. Schuchmann, curator of ornithology at Zoological Research Museum A. Koenig in Germany, and F. Gary Stiles of the Instituto de Ciencias Naturales at Universidad Nacional de Colombia.

Problem with the little guy is that the forest is being destroyed to plant coca. Let’s hope the petition to protect its habitat will be respected.
