Friday’s Feast 157

Appetizer
Say there’s a book written about your life. Who would you want to narrate the audio version?
Hmmm… I love Anthony Hopkins’ voice, but I think I would prefer a woman to do it. I like Glenn Close’s voice or Emma Thompson, with the British accent. Then again, if it’s in Spanish, that is another story.

Soup
Take the letters from your favorite kind of nut and write a sentence. (Example: Perhaps every avenue needs understanding today.)
Do you know how many things I can say with the letters of MACADAMIA? I’ll think about it later.

Salad
If you could go back in time and spend one week in another decade, which decade would you choose?
Definitely late 50’s – early 60’s, with the rock’n'roll, the fancy skirts, the drive-in’s and the MUSIC!

Main Course
Name a song that brings back memories for you.
El Baile de los que Sobran, by Los Prisioneros. Because it was one of those songs that made history in Spanish rock. Everybody liked it, everybody still likes it. And it makes me remember my friends and the time we spent together.

Dessert
Do you prefer to wash your hands in cold water or warm water?
Depends on the season. I don’t mind cold water in Summer, but Winter is another story.

Your turn now. :-)

One of the items in my 43 Things list is to take more photos. Now, I am not doing my best when it comes to outside photos, but I’m getting there. I, however, have become an expert at taking photos of Miss Shayla (our cat) and pimping her out on Flickr using fd’s Flickr Toys. This is my latest creation, which I think is funny enough to share.

Fracture

I think I was about 16 years old when I decided to make Anthony Hopkins my favourite actor. I certainly haven’t seen ALL his movies (save the Hannibal carnage for another day, except for The Silence of the Lambs), but I have enjoyed the ones I’ve seen very much. Fracture was another delightful Hopkins experience for me.

Hopkin’s role is that of a very astute and cunning man, trying to get away with a crime he planned very carefully, so it wouldn’t look like one. He plays with every single one of the people involved in the trial like on a chess board, moving pieces at his convenience. Then there is Ryan Gossling, who I really don’t think much of, but I think he did a good job as the DA’s rep. The rest of the cast isn’t that important, in my opinion, for Anthony Hopkins takes over the screen from the very beginning of the film.

I didn’t figure out a lot of things until the end of the movie, but if you pay attention, you will be able to solve the crime in 5 minutes.

Mingle2 Internet Quiz - How Much Do You Know About the Internet?

Oh, I cheated. My first result was mediocre… as in “barely passed.” That’s why I have a computer geek at home. ;-)
