You receive $1,000 in the mail with a letter that says you can only use the money to redecorate one room in your home. Which room do you pick, and what do you buy to spruce it up?
My bedroom, so I can make it zen. 1,000 isn’t too much, but I sure would be happy to spend them at IKEA in some nice decorations, linens, etc.

Fill in the blank:
My little voice says I’m crazy, but I ignore it.
Your turn now. :)
John and I got a free guest pass for two to see the pre-screening of Stardust tonight. I don’t remember seeing a fantasy movie this good since The Neverending Story. Yes, that is how much I liked it; it is awesome!
The cast is fantastic, every single one of the actors does an amazing job. Like the TV trailer says, Robert De Niro will just make you flip out. Michelle Pfeiffer is one of the best witches you’ll see around. Claire Danes is as sweet as always. And the rest of the cast is fun to watch.
Based on the book by Neil Gaiman, Stardust is the kind of fantasy story that will capture your heart and become one of your favourite movies. I guarantee it.

I live in the Kansas side of KC, but there is really no difference when it comes to hanging out in the city. Beautiful place, great activities. Looks like the state of Missouri is in the cultural boom these next two weekends.
The Hispanic Festival of St. Louis – Which we won’t be attending since John’s mom is going to be in town, but I thought I could post about it, so other people who read this weblog and are in the area can profit. August 10, 11, 12, 2007 at the Soldiers Memorial Park in Downtown St. Louis – 14th Street and Market Street.
Ethnic Enrichment Festival – Experience the heritage and traditions of more than 50 countries at Kansas City’s longest running festival. Celebrate the world through food, crafts, dance and drink during this three-day cultural extravaganza. Taste the World in the heart of America. August 17, 18 and 19 at the Swope Park on Gregory and Elmwood Rd. Kansas City, MO
Oh, make sure you go prepared for the scorching hot weather. :P

Wired has a rather interesting article, in its How To section, about using open social tools, and I realized I am using almost all of them (not getting very social, though). Two of these tools caught my attention: Shelfari and The Library Thing. I remember I used to catalog my books at All Consumming, but I stopped doing it a long time ago. I, however, wanted to find some sort of site online where I could do this again, kinda like Flickr with my photos, Last FM with music, etc.
I tried Shelfari, which is a nice site, but I found the flash to be slow. The site is pleasant to the eye, but slow. So I tried with The Library Thing, and I’m happy with it. I’m cataloguing my books (the ones I have here, anyway) and it will be a good way to keep track of what I’m buying and reading.
Oh, did I mention that reading makes me very happy? :-)
