I just came back from my appointment with the endocrinologist. She turned out to be this really cool woman from Philippines, who gave me high five when I told her I got re-married. Ha ha ha! She was very nice, very friendly, and she didn't make me feel like I was a loser with all the health issues I'm dealing with right now. I tend to compare every doctor with the endocrinologist I had in Montreal, who was a total asshat.
Anyway, this is how things went:
1. I've lost 5 pounds, go me!
2. I will have to start taking Glucophage ...
John and I followed the premiere of [tag]CBS[/tag]' new show "[tag]Cane[/tag]" last night and we loved it. It looks like a latino version of The Sopranos, with all the intrigue, the money, the plots, the dark family history, and that thirst for revenge.
It's got a great cast, as well, with [tag]Hector Elizondo[/tag], [tag]Jimmy Smith[/tag] (who I've liked since the L.A. Law days), and our very own Colombian [tag]Paola Turbay[/tag]. This is exactly why I'm against posting public [tag]photos of children[/tag]. It doesn't matter how cute they are, or how sacred some of us think they are, there will always be some psycho wanting to do disgusting things.
If you are a Flickr user, join the campaign to stop this [tag]abuse[/tag]. Post something about it, do something about it! I hate it when people ...
The [tag]Happiness Project[/tag] has become one of my favourite [tag]weblogs[/tag], along with others I found thanks to LifeRemix. [tag]Gretchen Rubin[/tag] defines her weblog as follows:
"I'm working on a book, THE HAPPINESS PROJECT--a memoir about the year I spent test-driving every principle, tip, theory, and scientific study I could find, whether from Aristotle or St. Therese or Martin Seligman or Oprah. THE HAPPINESS PROJECT will gather these rules for living and report on what works and what doesn’t. On this daily blog, I recount some of my adventures and insights as I grapple with the challenge of being happier."
