5 minutes for eternity

The nicest words I’ve heard in a while, I heard them today when my boss asked me to stay a few extra minutes after the day was over. He called me into his office and I thought “Ooopsie, maybe I did something wrong…” — Well… Nope, he just wanted to tell me that he’s very happy with my work and that he likes the way I handled the reports I was supposed to give him from last week’s tests (“Tu as fait un super beau travail, je suis très content.”) — I just make sure that everything I do is done according to the rules, I put my heart and mind into it, and I have to admit that I’m a little bit of a perfectionist.

We all need this kind of encouragement, especially after spending some time thinking something’s wrong after a failure in life. I see myself as a new person now; strong, independent, decided and much more mature. There’s nothing wrong with saying it, so yes… I so rock and my boss is seeing it! That smile on his face after a job well done sure made my day.
