A Look at Canada

Boy! It feels like summer The thermometer has reached 24C today in Montreal and I have all my windows open. I’m even wearing shorts, but I’m sure you don’t want to see Beatriz in those… ha ha! Anyway, I love it! Sending hugs and good wishes to the people in Calgary (aka Sophia) who got an incredible more than 40cm of snow… wowsa! Big country this Canada, huh?

And talking about Canada guess what I’ve been doing? Studying for my Citizenship test. Yes! 197 questions about History, Geography and the political life of my new homeland. I answered them all and now I’ll start posting them to see how much Canadians know about their country, he he! Remember I had mentioned it before? Well, my head is crazy, I have so many projects in mind that I always end up postponing stuff, but now the game is on.

There are still a few questions about the History of Quebec I still have to look good answers for. Especially the region where I live I like learning so much! History and Geography were among my favorite subjects in school and the world never ceases to amaze me. More than preparing for the test, I’m just enjoying the questionnaire to the fullest.

Now I’m cooking some lentils (the link is information for Peter who asked what lentils are) for Patrice who became addicted to them and later we’re going out for a walk. How’s your day going?

  1. 24 degrees? Wow. That’s just perfect for me. :)

Good luck on the citizenship exam! The rest of my family (‘xcept me) took it last year.

  2. It’s almost that hot here in Vancouver, too. Good luck with your test… sometimes I think that a large portion of us Canadian-born people wouldn’t even be able to pass that test.

  3. 24 degrees..I don’t think we do that here! The citizenship test sounds really interesting, and I wish you well with it. Mmm lentils, very yum and good for diabetics like me.

  4. Oh it got all the way up to 14 degrees here. Felt pretty warm in the sun tho. :)
My grandparents took their citenzenship test in 1958. :D
