John and I followed the premiere of CBS‘ new show “Cane” last night and we loved it. It looks like a latino version of The Sopranos, with all the intrigue, the money, the plots, the dark family history, and that thirst for revenge.
It’s got a great cast, as well, with Hector Elizondo, Jimmy Smith (who I’ve liked since the L.A. Law days), and our very own Colombian Paola Turbay. She actually made a great impression, for she’s not that cutesy beauty pageant contestant I saw in the 90′s, but a great actress who speaks impeccable English.
It was great to see an almost all-latino cast on prime time television. And I’m sure we won’t miss a single episode of what looks like a fantastic saga.

I did watch this last night. Only because it’s the only staion I can get. I found it very interesting and possible addition to my TV schedule.
¿Héctor Elizondo? ¿The Argentinean Football referee? He’s made quite a progress then.
We watched this last night – but the slow pace was unnerving, and we are really low on suspense!
Interesting to see Smits and Turbay. She still has that nasal voice that was so annoying back in the day; do you think her role is acting, or just natural casting?
