Cocooning

Cocooning refers to the practice of retreating into the seclusion of one’s own home during leisure time for privacy or for the sake of diversion from humdrum official routine. Cocooning is the practice of nurturing one’s family life by spending leisure time in the home with one’s family. It is the valuing of family life and privacy above social contact and advancement. That’s me. A cocooner. I love being at home, more than anything else. And I will stop feeling bad for not being an entertainer.

  1. Good point, Kevin :-) I read about that concept last night on a friend’s website and tried to do some research about it, but there isn’t much online. I will send you the article :-) I like the cocooning trend.

  2. Now I like that idea and, I’m sure, I must be a cocooner too Bea, as I love nothing better at the end of the day to hide away and, read. No, not watch TV, but read curled up on the couch, preferably with a nice glass of red wine to, unwind!
