Cuddling Weather

I cannot complain about my weekend. Had a great time last night chez Jacques; we saw the photos from the vacation he and my MIL had in New Jersey and NYC. He’s a teacher, so each picture came with a story written under and after taking a look at the album we had to pass a little test. We scored 100% and received a prize: One really cool watercolor of Brodway st. along with a book of the Quebec slang for me… he he he! After the photos, we played games, eat some chips, had some drinks, and talked :smile: Came back home around midnight and slept late today.

It’s been chilly and cloudy outside, so we stayed in, organized the house, washed clothes and cuddled. I also put summer clothes away and the fall/winter clothes in the closet to wear them now. Everything changes with the seasons; each one of them requires certain home rituals that I seem to enjoy since I didn’t have these changes in Colombia. It’s nice… There’s still a lot of cleaning to do, but that’ll wait until tomorrow.

    Yesterday was a bonus, woke up and the sun was shining the sky was blue, it was gorgeous. I know Autumn is just around the corner so made the most of it. Was supposed to go to the cinema but how can you sit in the dark when the last few days of sunshine are with us? Wondered around a pretty village, in and out of little gifty shops, then drove along the country lanes. Bliss. Sadly ended on a sour note via stupid TV progam last night! (so mad had to make it my blog for today!)

    I cleaned out my old apartment this weekend. You would think a studio apartment would be easy to do but between my breaks and deep cleaning, I’m worn out. I finally handed in my keys though and should be getting some money back really soon :)

    I’m looking forward to the cooler weather. Yesterday we turned on the fireplace and just enjoyed warmth… it was nice :)

    I am so glad that I didn’t put away my summer clothes yet … it’s 28C today (Monday) in Toronto. Phew! I’m in a tank top and light pants. It’s only supposed to go down to 18C tonight and 28C again tomorrow during the day … October 1st! What the …?

    Oh my God! Helena???? Does it mean the freaky heat wave is coming this way?? Please… noooo!! LOL! I just turned the heat on because it was only like 15C inside.
