Geez! Where did time go? It’s May already? The clock is running too fast, but I’m having a good time this year, probably that’s why time flies. The first day of the new month I spent it enjoying my first “Car Freedom”; Patrice had to work and I had the car for myself all day long; went for groceries, stopped at the library to renew my card and brought home two books (A Map of the World by Jane Hamilton and I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb). I could’ve brought more, but the next few weeks will be busy with school stuff.
I couldn’t help it, had to do my bi-weekly stop at the bookstore and finally got myself a copy of the Chocolat soundtrack. I spent at least 1 hour going through the bookshelves and nothing caught my attention until I saw a paperback copy of Michael Ende’s The Neverending Story, a favorite book I used to have and I lent it to a friend who never returned it, how nice! But I found it and got it. Then I bought a gift for a friend and came home totally pooped! I had forgotten what it’s like to go from here to there and it was really hot yesterday! Well, for this time of the year, anyway.
By the end of the day, I went to pick up Patrice, we bought something for dinner and went to bed early. I hadn’t been sleeping well during the last two days… Guess I what time I woke up today? 11:45 a.m., ayoye! And if it wasn’t for a phone call, maybe I was still in bed.
Oh, how I love the novel The NeverEnding Story! Haven’t read it in years, but I just might have to re-read it now.
How does FREEDOM feel?! Haha! Sounds like you had a really busy day! Which library did you go to to find English books? Please let me know because it’s so much cheaper than buying books!
