First post of the year

I don’t have anything really meaningful to say, or maybe I have so many things to say that I just don’t know how to do it. These last days have been of reflection, resolutions, love, planning, dreaming. I’m also a little upset for stuff I have to see online that shouldn’t be happening after the whole discussion on respecting and accepting that others can have their opinions without having to be put in the electric chair and called names. But that’ll be a rant for another moment.

I guess I just wanted to see that 2003 up there (just like Jennifer) and wish you all, again, a very Happy and Blessed New Year. We’re going for dinner at my mother in law’s to get together with some friends. That’s the plan for the first day of the year. And I still have to try and call my mom; couldn’t find free international line last night…

Anyway, I decided to post my New Year’s Resolutions. I’m sure new things will be added, but so far this is the list I put together last night and these are things I really plan to accomplish.

1. Start a savings account
2. Go to church as much as possible.
3. Watch what I eat because of my Diabetes.
4. Sponsor a child through “Children International“.
5. Be more in touch with my family in Colombia.
6. Buy less books, go more to the library.
7. Improve my written French.
8. Go back to school or find another job.
9. Go to bed and wake up early.
10. Get to know better people I like online.
11. Start walking everyday to exercise.
12. Get my Canadian citizenship.
13. Try to go “for pay” with Web Design.
14. Be more organized at home.
15. Get closer to Diane (Patrice’s mom).

  1. Maggie, it’s a script to display how many people are actually on your page at a given moment. I had it installed, but it annoyed the heck out of me when it didn’t work, so I just removed it. I don’t know if it’s something to do with my IP, but the darn thing won’t work.

  2. Those are good resolutions. Best of luck to you in keeping them.

I’d noticed that about the fastonlineusers.com script. It doesn’t work, so why do people still have it installed? Weird.

  3. Whoa… that is a big list! Well, good luck to you in doing it all. I will probably do many things in the year, but too chicken to commit at this point!

  4. Happy New Year Bea, May you and yours have a new year filled with love, happiness, health and properity. God Bless….

  5. :color: Happy (late!) New Year, Bea  May the new year bring you bright blessings and much joy!
