I was wondering and came to the conclusion that my posts are either too boring or people -don’t feel like/are too busy- for commenting these days in here. Really, there are hits in my stats but almost no one says anything, not even the friends! Maybe I should be a little more controversial, more polemic, funnier? What do you think? Please, don’t tell me I’m intimidating anyone? If I haven’t even discussed the news lately, ha ha! Anyway… Could just be one of those days*, or simply the holidays. I think I’ll close this machine for the rest of the weekend, before I start getting paranoid ideas about no one liking me (I can be freaky like that, I’m serious… Takes some courage to admit it! It makes part of my OC personality, what to do?).
But seriously, who’s reading out there? I’m not interested in being the star, I’ve never been popular, I know I have a kind of weird / inquisitive / opinionated / lonesome / high-maintenance personality and a rather small group of friends because of that (should I call myself an anti-social?!?); I’m not really involved in blogger groups/cliques because IMHO it causes trouble in the long run, my life is really simple and there is not much time to find the best links of the web to discuss and I always forget to check that Daypop, LOL!. However it’s nice to feel like people are actually “reading” my words and get their feedback; otherwise, why the public blog, right? Ok ok… No more rambling *Poof!*

*It IS one of those days. I found out right after I finished this post. Crampy cramps… ouch! With my abnormal reproductive functions, it always comes by surprise. This is one of those entries I think of deleting when I discover it came in a moment of hormonal un-balance, but what the heck… I’m only a human looking for a little attention, he he! The whole idea of people thinking I’m a silly girl because of this post will haunt me for a while, but I’ll get over it.

I do think that people are busy these days. That doesn’t mean that nobody’s reading, though. I can never predict which entries will get responses. I’ll pour my heart out in some post about life or love and get no comments, but 14 people comment when I complain about my neighbor’s noisy pet peacocks. Go figure. :wink:

I blame the holidays too Bea. Look at my site, hasn’t been updated in days and in all honesty, I haven’t spent the time at my regularly visited sites. I am hoping to be back on track by Monday. Hang in there and don’t get discouraged :wave:

Looks like you got a fair amount of comments to me Bea. Here’s another. I’m not like you in this area. Sometimes one good comment is worth 9 more. I’m sure I will have frightened away the selective commentors from my site today, but hey, I wrote from my heart. I told the truth. I find a lot of people don’t like that kind of posting. I’ll probably get one good comment though and that will defintely have been worth the post. Hope you are awake and having a great day :wink:
What I try to remember is that far, far more people are going to visit than are going to post. There’s a statistic, I’m sure, but I don’t know what it is. It probably has to do with the whole “web-surfing” mentality.
Lots of people like you, though. I’m not a regular visitor, but I try really hard to stop by when my blogroll tells me you’ve updated.

Because of the holidays, I haven’t had time to really read up on all my favorite blogs. As soon as I’ve read through an entry and think about leaving a comment, something comes up. By the way, I don’t find anything you write boring. Even if it’s a line or two. This place is very positive and I enjoy my time here.
Heh, I think it’s just the holidays because I’ve noticed a massive drop in comments on my site too as well as slower traffic. After the new year it should pick up again.
