Despite a nasty cold that decided to greet me before coming to Chicago, I’m having a wonderful time. I saw my friend from High School and her husband last night, and we already booked two nights this week to have dinner and go dancing, woot! I was so happy to see her after almost 9 years. We laughed so much talking about the old days, it felt wonderful. I’ve been feeling so lonely lately and being here, surrounded by friends, is one of the best things that have happened to me in a while. I don’t even want to think about this weekend when I go back to Canada, but oh well… We can’t have everything.

Plans for today? Have lunch with a friend and his mom and then… I don’t know. A little tour downtown, maybe. I want to take lots of pictures. It’s still cloudy, but at least I can see the sun today. And who cares, this place is beautiful!
