Iraq, Korea and the Whole Damn Thing
Posted: July 31st, 2007 | Author: Bea | Filed under: News, Thoughts | No Comments »The Korean hostages that are being killed by the Taliban, are they considered “civilian casualties” in this stupid so-called war against terrorism? How many more dead people do we have to hear about before someone does something? The Taliban making demands that I’m sure are as stupid as the war is, but hello, anybody home?
Of course my views may be scarily simplistic and the issue is not to be solved just like that. But when I read the news in the morning, everything jumped right in front of my eyes. The insanity of it all, the injustice of it all. Did you know that to this day there are 8 MILLION VICTIMS of the war in Iraq? Yes, 8 million people who have had their lives messed up. I wonder, how did things get better over there after March 2003? I seriously don’t see it.

Karradah, center of Bagdad, after attacks on Friday.
I remember when I spent hours reading the news and trying to put my thoughts down in words in this weblog. I was so full of anger toward those who wanted war. These days I’m just… how can I call it? Resigned. I see the madness of humanity and I just roll my eyes. I think that is sad, I think I should start saying something again.
The more frustrating thing is that there isn’t really anything I can do. Or is there?
