I’m very nervous and jumpy today. A whole bunch of stressful situations at the office, lack of organization to do some stuff, the accounting guy getting all worked up over a chair (apologies offered and accepted, goody!); that added to the fact that I have a rather important meeting this afternoon with the Colombian Consul and some other Colombian people working here in Montreal. I’ve never been to such thing, I have no idea of what I’m going to say or do; I feel really stupid.

But like Patrice says, this is a good opportunity in life, from which I can learn things, form relationships and build something good for my future. When I first was invited I immediately thought “No, I won’t go. My life is just too simple for all this”. Then I called Patrice and he told me not to be a silly girl. All week I’ve been trying to convince myself that I’m smart enough to go and participate in a meeting with people who have done way more important stuff professionally than me. I’m scared… LOL!

Sometimes I think I’m just good enough, which brings me to moments of fear like this. Thank God I have a husband who believes in me and that uses every minute he has to let me know that he has confidence in me and that I can do anything I want with my life. So, here I go, Mr. Consul.
