This week has been so much fun. I’ve done nothing but have a good time, spend time around wonderful people, get to meet my friends and enjoy this city. Yesterday we drove all the way to Indiana to meet one of my divorce support groups buddies, she’s adorable! We had dinner at Abuelo’s (delicioso!); it was amazing getting to talk to her in person after almost 2 years of knowing each other online. I’m always afraid people won’t like me that much in real life, but things went really well with Karin.

After dinner, my friend (and host) and I went dancing at a club called 720. That was cool! I’m sure I looked like an idiot because the club scene in Chicago is obviously something I hadn’t seen before. But it was fun, I hadn’t danced with someone who actually knows how to dance in a long time and let me tell you… AWESOME! I ended up pulling a Cinderella and told him I was tired after midnight, but it was definitely a great night out.

Now I have to get ready because we’re going to have lunch with my friend from HS downtown, then another party to attend in the afternoon and then… Then I have to pack because I’m going back to Canada tomorrow (Boohoo!). Oh well, nothing lasts forever, but I’m sure I will be back. ;)
