I went to the Psychiatrist this morning, referred by a nurse. This Dr. was actually so nice that I was surprised (you don’t find very nice Drs. here in Canada… in my opinion). Of course, she didn’t tell me anything new; I know I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder… among other things :P (poor lil old me! he he). Anyways, for the first time I was offered a good thing: There is this study made by top psychiatrist here in Montreal to see the results of Cognitive Therapy Vs. Behavioural Therapy. It sounds really interesting and the Dr. made a long evaluation so they will call me by the end of the week and we’ll see… :)
After the appointment I went to have some breakfast at the clinic’s cafeteria and was very surprised when the waitress started to talk to me in Spanish! For sure, she noticed my awful accent when I speak French and decided to help me… LOL! On the table next to mine there was this weird woman, who looked so nervous and smoked a cigarrete after another… and finally she got into the conversation amazed by the new language spoken :) She was afraid she was disturbing me or something, but I said “No no no, pas de tout!”, so we just sat together, had breakfast and it was nice. Two total strangers, having some coffee and talking about life… It helped me for I was stressed. That is what my mom calls “Jesus Christ passing by”.
