When in school, we had a name for people who couldn’t come up with their own stuff or were always following others because they couldn’t have an identity of their own. We called them “Remoras“. They were always taking other people’s stuff and ideas and made them appear as their own; like the fish who suck from sharks… Remoras, disgusting, shark-suckers.
Somebody has copied my list of links and even organized it into the same categories I did (of course, with a few changes… but I’m not that dumb, LOL!). This shouldn’t be an issue, but why oh why people can’t just go and get their own stuff! Ugh! REMORA! Give me some valeriana tea, please.
 Hi, I went and visited some sites in your links list and left comments. This is OK I trust? Did not copy them though. Get back to me on this; I would hate to be committing some kind of Blogging sin.
LOL! Don’t be silly, Kevin :-) I’m actually talking about the portal I put together with links to resources I get online. It took me a couple of days to come up with the stuff because I thought it was good to share, but not to have it copied… :-P It’s not about the list itself, it’s about people copying the stuff they see. Copyright, it’s called ;-)
I am sitting here with my jaw dropped open, Bea. Not because someone stole your links… that kind of stuff happens all of the time. But because you actually came up with a NAME for the people who do that!
I’m thinking that I need a name for those people, too. And what about the people whose whole blog is just “what character are you” quizzes? They definitely need a name. In fact, I’m going to fill a whole page of a dictionary with the list of names that I’m now inspired to create.
Thank you for planting that seed for my creative process!
