Hugo Chávez makes me laugh sometimes. He makes me angry most of the time, but there are moments when I can’t help but think how stupid his actions are. He’s boisterous, he has no class, he calls the FARC his friends, and he definitely has histrionic aptitudes. For anyone who’s not informed, all this yadda yadda may make no sense, but I feel like posting about it.
Venezuela‘s president denounced that “someone” had plans to assassinate him. Guess who the “someone” was? Yeah, hah! He is now accusing Colombia and the U.S. of “plotting” some kind of military attack against Venezuela. And sure, he would LOVE that. He claims the revolutionary armed forces are his friends, so wouldn’t it be just wonder if he could attack Colombia from within?
I know that my views may be simplistic at times, but I think we all have the capacity to analyze and observe the actions of others and their reasons. I see a Hugo Chávez crazy about trying to get control of the region that was once La Gran Colombia (Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Panama). His plan to change the constitution in Venezuela is failing, so he’s getting attention by other means.
I do not see a leader trying to do things that will benefit anyone. I see a madman with the idea that he is the reincarnation of Simón Bolívar, trying to do what HE THINKS is good for the region and stepping on everyone’s feet.

I also recently read that Chavez has declared most of Guyana to be Venezuelan territory, and he intends to take it back. Did they call this Lebensraum back in the 1930s?
