Transit Visa
Posted: March 30th, 2001 | Author: Bea | Filed under: Colombia, News | Comments OffI had written a long post earlier and when I pressed the Post link it just dissapeared; guess it’s because the maintenance of Blogger. Anyways, it was about a news I read in El Tiempo (a colombian newspaper): From now on all the passengers in transit through the U.S. will need an American Visa. This is really bad because in order to get an appointment in the American Embassy in Bogot a person has to wait at least one year.
Let’s say someone just wants to come to Canada or go to another country, like in Europe… it really sucks! Now, in order to go visit my family I need to get the approval of the americans so I can wait for a plane there to take me to my country??? Plus, they treat us colombians like a piece of junk and forget that “NOT ALL COLOMBIANS ARE BAD”. This makes me not only angry but sad too…
