1. Who is your best online friend?
By best friend I assume it’s someone I talk to in (or communicate with) very often, someone I trust and someone I like very much. I have a few: Peter, Babs, Jaya, Kristin, Kathryn and Sophia (the last two are MIA, ha ha!). Am I missing someone? Hope not!

2. Who is your oldest online friend?
That has to be Sundar, a really nice guy from India I met 5 years ago and who has been absolutely wonderful all these years. And then there’s Paul, my friend from the UK who shares my love for birds and Formula 1 Go McLaren!

3. Who is your newest online friend?
Mmmm… Let me think… That has to be Martie, who I have been talking with on a regular basis since a couple of weeks ago. She’s nice! Hiya, Martie!

4. Do you write your own HTML or use an editor? Which editor?
I used a WYSIWYG editor before (long ago), but right now I’m writing my own code either in NotePad or CuteHTML. Much better this way! I’m lucky that I learned HTML before using editors.

5. Which browser do you prefer?
I go with the flow and prefer Internet Explorer. So far is the lightest browser I’ve tried.

6. What’s on your computer desk, apart from the PC?
Everything? Mmm… It’s a big mess. Mugs with pens, a telephone, my digital camera, a microphone, some sticky notes all over the place with addresses for my Snail Mail Project, another telephone (the cordless one I brought with me from the living room), floppy disks, the other computer (and old Macintosh Performa), Patrice’s address book (snooping around! LOL), two CDs (John Mayer and Bacilos), a zip drive, my Wacom tablet, a toucan made of ceramic, a hockey puck, the French version of a book by Gabriel García Márquez (L’amour aux temps du cholera), The Consumers Guide to Diabetics Products, two lamps, a few dictionnaries, an Agatha Christie’s book collection, different office supplies (tape, stappler, erasers, etc), a photo of Patrice, a photo of my nephew Andrés, a calendar, a starbust candy… do you want me to continue? ha ha ha!

7. Which page is your start page?
Blank. Until I reformat this computer I want it to take the less possible time to load things.

8. How many email addresses do you have?
1 for the website (with several aliases), 1 personal (for friends and family), 1 for government related things (immigration and stuff), 1 at my workplace (have to delete that one), 1 for online registrations (spam flooded, of course). I think that’s it. I also have a couple that I don’t use at all.

9. Which version of Windows do you use?
Windows 98 in the desktop (going to upgrade to 2000) and XP in the laptop.

10. How many hours a day do you spend online?
You really don’t want to know… I’m an internet junkie. My eyes are square-shaped and my middle name is “Byte”.

11. If you use a graphics program, which one do you use?
Paint Shop Pro 7.04, some of Photo Shop LE, Eye Candy, Blade Pro, an old version of Photo Impact, a little tiling program called 20/20 and sometimes Paint.

12. How many emails do you get a day?
Without counting spam (which I get 10-20, not bad ah?), I would say I get about 30, counting comments from my blog. Maybe less… Not that popular.

13. Which is your favourite website?
Mine, of course! I do it myself, it’s a challenge. Call me narcissistic, I’m being honest. Then if I have to pick another one… boy… Yahoo! I use all their services, from e-mail to the calendar, news, the bookmarks. I think it’s a great portal.

14. Which instant messenger do you use?
MSN, AIM, YIM, ICQ — Connected to them by Trillian most of the time.

15. Which is your favourite computer game?
I’m so bad with computer games… The only ones I really like are Bejeweled and the good ol’ Solitary. Ah! And Solitary Spider. But I don’t spend time playing.

16. Do you use chatrooms? If so, which is your favourite?
Not anymore. They annoy me to no end. They are full of mindless people most of the time. Boring, really. I used to go to Yahoo! Chat a lot, but after I got married (found the guy, of course!) I stopped.

17. What size monitor do you have?
A normal 17″. Not flat screen… going to get one of these days.

18. What sort of connection do you have?
Cable Modem — My current speed is 727.28 Kbps

19. What’s your favourite computer add-on e.g. webcam?
The tablet (that I have to use more) and my digital camera. Ah! And presently the microphone that allows me to talk to Moni, ha ha!

20. When did you first get online?
First time? 1996, at my cousin’s in Colombia. Then I connected from home at the end of 1997; kind of new in the business, huh? But I also had a connection at school, really bad let me tell you… ugh!
