Wanted: Non Commercial Radio

I can’t listen to the radio… I just can’t. I know there are some decent enough stations in the area, but commercial radio drives me insane. If it’s not the ad invasion, it’s the stupid talk show people who get frankly annoying. And then they take every single good song and overplay it until you just want to grab the singer by the hair and throw them into the nothingness. That song “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles? Yeah that one… that I liked so much… I want to destroy the piano in the intro and scream banshee.

And yes, I know there are CD’s and MP3′s and XM radio. But I just wanted to vent. I’ve had enough of Rocket and Theresa in the morning.

I just got a mental picture in my head of you pushing Sara Bareilles into the endless pit while saying “This is Sparta!”

i wholeheartedly agree with you. and thats why i absolutely love XM radio. their customer service is crap. but the actual service is awesome. i have it in my car, at home, and i use it at work via web.

during the morning drive i switch between the XM and talk radio- WGN (am). but not ever again will i put on any station with those crazy flakey over the top FM morning people. ugh!

    :)

Don’t hate on Sara Bareilles just because pop radio got ahold of her song. I skip it when listening to that album now, but the album itself is all very good. If you like that sort of thing. Looking for something different? Try A Fine Frenzy or Tristan Prettyman.

No, no! I really like Sara Bareilles; I was just trying to be funny. In fact, I’m not lying when I say they repeat the song too often. They play it every morning right after 7. It’s crazy.
